About Structural Engineering

M.Tech in STRUCTURAL Engineering is one of the post graduate programs offered by Department of civil engineering with intake 28. This program is aimed at providing inputs in the areas of Advance Structural Analysis, Advance Reinforced Concrete and Steel Structures , Structural Dynamic, Theory of Elasticity ,Theory of Plates & Shells innovative Construction materials , Bridges etc.

The Department is also involved in Research and Project Consultancy in the areas like Structural Masonry, Earth quake engineering, soil Dynamics etc. These Topics would help the Post Graduates   to design, Analysis and find solutions for Practical problems.

Post graduate level to meet industry needs and to develop as a major research centre to meet the national and international standards.

MISSION

To impart in-depth and up-to-date knowledge in Structural Engineering, stressing concepts with focus on character enhancement, leadership qualities, effective communication, social responsibility, pursuit of lifelong learning and professional development.

  • Apply modern engineering tools and software in civil engineering
  • Conduct them in a responsible, professional, and ethical manner.
  • Participate as leaders in their fields of expertise and in activities that support service and economic development throughout the world.
  • Plan, analyze, design, execute and manage the civil engineering projects

PROGRAMME SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs)

  • Function as design consultants in construction industry for the design of civil engineering structures.
  • Provide sustainable solutions to the Civil Engineering Problems.
  • Apply reasoning informed by the appropriate knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to structural engineering practice
  • Graduates will be aware of impact of engineering constructions on environment and society

  2. 6 years with PENNAR Steel (Deputy General Manager) Design.
  3. 10 Years Director of Engineering Consultancy.
  4. More than 200 projects in Different Civil Engineering fields including Jalayagnam and International Airport- Shamshabad.
  5. About 500 building projects to American Metal Building Industry.
  6. Life Member- I.R.C., I.C.E and I.S.T.A.M
  7. Published about 15 research papers in international conferences.
  8. Principal for the last three years (Sree Dattha Institute of Engineering & Science).
  9. Guided one Ph.D. (Awarded) from JNTU in metal Building in 2012.
  10. Guided 3 M.Techs (Awarded) two from Ranchi Univ. in 1994 & one from JNTU in 2014.
  11. Guiding currently, One Ph.D registered with JNTU in 2014 in Aluminium foam composites.
  12. Guided two M.Techs registered with JNTU in 2015 in Irrigation Structures.
